Tomorrow is Final Day for Adjusting Entries

Tomorrow, March 25 is the final day for making changes and adjustments to entries to the 2016 ACTE Northeast Fair. All changes should be sent to acte@nacc.edu no later than 4:30 pm tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing everyone on April 8!

The inaugural Northeast Region ACTE Fair held at Northeast Alabama Community College will take place on Friday. Special thanks to Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative and Xirrus for their support of the fair.

Be sure to tag your Instagram and Twitter tomorrow with the official fair hashtag: #ACTENortheast.

We will look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. And keep in mind that the part for the broken air conditioning chiller has not yet arrived, meaning that the building will be warm. Please dress accordingly.

Two Words: Release Forms

Don't forget that everyone (yes, everyone includes everyone) that attends the Northeast Region ACTE Fair on Friday will need a signed release form turned in at the registration desk. The only exception is for those who attend the Awards Ceremony only.

This form gives us permission to post photos of you on our website and in other locations.

Please print and send these home with your students.

ACTE Fair is Wi-Fi Only

Through a partnership with Xirrus, Northeast Alabama Community College will provide Wi-Fi connections during the Northeast Region Fair. However, no wired connections will be available. Schools are encouraged to bring computers with Wi-Fi capability.

Due to space restrictions, schools are strongly encouraged to bring no more than 2-3 computers. Muliple projects should be saved to a shared computer. If you project includes sound you should provide headphones for the judges to use.

Schedule Announced

The schedule for the 2014 Northeast Region ACTE Fair has been announced.

• 7:30 am - Doors Open
• 7:30 - 8:30 am - Registration and Set Up
• 9:00 am - Opening Session
• 9:30 am - Competition and IT Testing Begins
• 11:30 am - Lunch Begins (Schedule will be provided in registration packet)
• 1:00 pm - Begin breakdown of exhibits
• 2:00 pm - Awards Ceremony (tentative time)

Look for additional information to be posted in the coming days. An informational letter will go out to participating schools next week.

New Site for Northeast Region Fair!

After many years of being hosted at Jacksonville State University, the Alabama Council for Technology in Education Northeast Region Fair has moved! Northeast Alabama Community College has graciously accepted the invitation to become the host site for the fair, starting in 2014.

The 2014 fair will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 in the Tom Bevill Lyceum on the NACC campus. Registration is set to open on February 14 and close on March 7.
